Infāque
Designing a mobile and desktop application for a subscription-based online donation service, which directs funds on a priority basis to charity campaigns.

Increasing engagement
Currently, there's no good way to instantly fund problems and crises worldwide, as grants and applications take time and often delay the process. Infaque's goal is to instantly draw funds from micro-funders each month which is redirected to urgent humanitarian causes worldwide.
My role
I was responsible for designing all mobile and desktop screens for the Infāque app and for conducting usability testing.
Project goals
What are we offering?
Infāque had a set of goals they wished to achieve with this application, which they brought to our team at My Media Creative. I used these tenants to support and inform decisions while navigating the design process.
Youth-friendly
Wanted the application to attract users in their early to late 20s
Simplified generosity
Simplifying the process in order to direct funds on a urgent-cause basis
Empowering
Giving confidence to small donors to encourage them to make a difference in a small but meaningful manner
Transparency
Giving clear insights into where donated money goes and who it helps to the micro-funders supporting the platform
Sketches
Jumping right in
Due to a (heavily) restricted timeline, I began creating user flows, followed by lo-fi sketches ideating how the main pages of the application could be presented.
Lo-fi wireframes
Mapping out the experience
I created low-fidelity wireframes by using my sketches as the structure and built on them further, using the goals listed earlier to help guide my design decisions.
Hi-fi wireframes
Polishing the details
I created low-fidelity wireframes by using my sketches as the structure and built on them further, using the goals listed earlier to help guide my design decisions.
Wrap-up
Reflecting
This project was lots of fun! We learned and iterated quickly, and were able to improve the designs with each iteration. As a next step for this project, I would conduct another round of usability testing on the new design (as opposed to just relying on internal testers) to improve it further.
